The Apollo Intensa Emozione Supercar Is Sexier Than Anyone Leonardo DiCaprio Has Ever Dated
October 27, 2017
We know Leonardo DiCaprio has dated a some of the most beautiful women in the world (cough Nina Adgal cough), but that doesn't negate that fact that this 2017 supercar, the Apollo Intensa Emozione, is the sexiest thing we've ever seen. OK, yeah, we might be taking it a little far, but so what! We know we're never going to date Nina Adgal, but that doesn't mean we still don't have a shot at owning this car (if we take out a second mortgage on our homes and eat only Ramen noodles until 2020).
The Apollo Intensa Emozione, or Apollo IE for short, may cost an arm and a leg, but hot damn! It's a beautiful freakin' car. According to TopGear:
"Limited to ten bespoke units priced at a tasty €2.3m (2.7 million dollars) a pop, the Apollo IE is a track-only, road-illegal supercar that’s here to launch Apollo into the boutique exotica scene. No longer affiliated with Roland Gumpert, the company’s been bought out and reimagined by Hong Kong businessman Norman Choi, and he’s created what he describes as a nostalgic GT1 racecar for the 21st century."
We don't know about y'all, but $2.7 million seems somewhat worth it given the fact that this car looks like the Batmobile. Move over, Bruce Wayne — there's a new sheriff in town. Of course, most car snobs aren't solely fixated on aesthetics. They want to know what the car is made of (both literally and in the figurative sense). According to Car Magazine:
"Light weight and advanced aero are key here, with an all-carbonfibre monocoque chassis and subframes weighing a total of 105kg (231lbs) The rest of the car is all carbon too, from the body to the seats, with aluminium BBS alloys and carbon-ceramic Brembo brakes front and rear. When it comes to aero, Apollo has a lot to shout about here (that runway-sized rear wing ain’t for nothin’). At 186mph, the IE produces in excess of 1350kg (2,976 lbs) of net downforce, an amount Apollo says is more akin to an LMP2 race car than road-going GT."
In laymen's terms, you can whip this car around like it's nobody's business. The amount of force it produces in contrast to how lightweight it is — well, its insane! We know that the price tag is steep, but if any of y'all want to put yourselves millions of dollars in debt, this might just have to be your big purchase.
If this car isn't featured in the next Batman movie, we are going to be supremely disappointed.
Seriously, it's as if Apollo tapped in the psyche of every man on the planet when creating this car.
How badass would it be driving away in this thing? We'd make it a point to leave places early, JUST for that reasoning.
Remember guys, for $2.7 million — she could be yours!
